Urwa was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and brought up in a Muslim family in Islamabad, Pakistan.
She did her intermediate from Fazaia Intermediate College,
Islamabad and
Islamabad College of Management ad Commerce. She is the sister of VJ, actress
and Model, Mawra Hocane. She also has a brother Ins E Yazdan.She is currently
living in Karachi.

Urwa started her career as VJ at “ARY Musik“. Her sister
Mawra Hocane is also an actress and VJ at a very popular TV channel “MTV
Pakistan“ and “AAG”. She is also a Model and she had appeared in many
commercials of Mobilink, Peki, Q Mobile, Warid and Telenor.
She started her acting career from ARY Digital serial Meri
Ladli. Then she appeared in Hum TV serial Madiha Maliha. She also appeared in
Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain. She later seen in Hum TV serial Kahi Un Kahi. She is
currently seen in Hum TV serials Namak Paray, Aik Pagal Si Larki and TVOne
Global serial Ideals.
